The Study of Components of the Knowledge Management Process: A Documentary Research

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the system and components of the knowledge management process through a review of academic documents. The study employed a documentary research methodology, emphasizing the analysis of data sources in terms of credibility, accuracy, and relevance to the research objectives. The data used in this study comprised both primary and secondary documents that were systematically selected. Subsequently, ten internationally recognized knowledge management models were synthesized and analyzed.
The results revealed that the essential components of the knowledge management process commonly found across the models consist of five key aspects: (1) knowledge creation and development, (2) knowledge sharing and dissemination, (3) knowledge application, (4) knowledge organization and storage, and (5) knowledge assessment and improvement.
These five components collectively represent the Knowledge Management Cycle, which serves as a core mechanism driving learning organizations in the digital era. Furthermore, the findings contribute new insights, suggesting that effective knowledge management in the educational context should be implemented through the integration of human, system, and technological dimensions within a collaborative learning culture, thereby enhancing the sustainability of Thailand’s educational system.
