Guidelines for building and facility management using a digital platform, Doi Tung Educational Development Network, under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the current state of building and facility management, 2) study the factors related to the current state of building and facility management, and 3) propose guidelines for building and facility management. The study population consisted of 127 people, and the key informants were 12 people. The research instruments included a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.97, interviews, and focus group discussion records. The statistical methods used included percentage analysis, mean analysis, standard deviation, needs assessment, and content analysis, presented in tables and narrative form. The results showed that: The current state of building and facility management, overall, was at a moderate level. The aspect with the highest mean was building and facility maintenance, at a moderate level, while the aspect with the lowest mean was building and facility utilization evaluation, at a low level. Factors related to the current state of building and facility management included internal factors: school structure and policy, output and services, personnel, financial efficiency, material resources, and management; and external factors: social and cultural aspects, technology, economic aspects, and political and legal aspects. Guidelines for building and facility management were proposed. The management of buildings and facilities is divided into several aspects based on the scope of building and facility management: construction, utilization, maintenance, supervision, and utilization evaluation.
