Development of Curriculum to Enhance Project Work Skills by Using STEM Education in The Lesson of Properties of Material and Their Uses for 5 Grade Students

Abstract

          The purposes of this research are 1) to develop the curriculum to enhance project work skills by using STEM Education in the lesson of properties of material and their uses for 5 grade students 2) to study the result of using the curriculum by comparing score achievement between before and after using the curriculum. The samples chosen by simple random sampling method were 35 students in the fifth grade of Anuban Maemoh School. The research tools were the curriculum to enhance project work skills by using STEM Education in the lesson of properties of material and their uses for 5 grade students and achievement tests.

The results found that:

          1) The curriculum consists in curriculum principle, objective, structure, contents, activities and assessment and evaluation. The curriculum documents consist in teacher’s guide and teaching plans. The curriculum validity and the curriculum documents were approved before the implementation.

          2)  The students’ posttest scores were statically higher than pretest scores at the level of 0.01.
