Abstract

This research aims to study the logistic activities of ceramic businesses in Lampang Province. To analyze the cost and comparative study of the cost of logistics activities of ceramic businesses in Lampang Province. The researcher collected data about ceramic businesses in Lampang Province. The sample consists of two small factories, two mid-sized factories and two large factories. The finding showed that the logistics activities of ceramic businesses include order management, customer service, demand forecasting, logistics communications, procurement, packaging, Warehouse and storage, transportation, office and reverse logistics. The cost of logistics activities of the ceramic business are different. In terms of costs, in principle, large businesses tend to have the highest costs. The second is mid-sized businesses and small businesses using the least costs. To Except customer service activities of the sub-activity of the product design service according to the customer's purchase order, it shown that small businesses use the highest cost of this activity in the amount of 35,109.44 baht, mid-sized businesses of 25,963.00 baht and large businesses do not have the cost of this activity. Likewise, the demand forecasting activities in the sub-activities, anticipating future demand for products, small businesses will use the highest costs of this activity in the amount of 23,860.28 baht, mid-sized businesses of 20,478.82 baht and large businesses do not have the cost of this activity and purchasing activity, sub-activity of materials purchasing, large businesses use the highest costs of this activity in the amount of 103,874.00 baht. Then the small businesses were 31,974.48 baht and mid-sized businesses got 22,210.64 baht.
