THE DEVELOPMENT OF BASIC MATH SKILLS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN BY USING CREATIVE ACTIVITY SET IN UTTARADIT PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were  1) to develop and find the effectiveness of creative activity sets in order to develop basic math skills of preschool children in Uttaradit Province and 2) to develop basic math skills for preschool children after receiving the activities by using creative activity set in Uttaradit province The sample of the study was the kindergarten students, class 2/3, 2^nd  semester, academic year 2017 at Uttaradit Rajabhat University Demonstration School including 56 people by means of purposive sampling. Research tools used in this research were a set of creative activities to develop basic math skills of preschool children in Uttaradit Province and basic math skills tests for preschool children by using creative activity set in Uttaradit province.

          The findings of the study were as follows:

1. The result of creating a set of creative activities to develop basic math skills of preschool children has four units, taking all time twelve periods. There were three experts assessing the suitability between objectives, learning content, learning activities, media, measurement and evaluation, the result showed that the assessment of the suitability of various elements of creative activity sets was very appropriate with an arithmetic mean of 4.27, standard deviation equal to 0.482. 
2. The result of experiment and finding the effectiveness of creative activity sets in order to develop basic math skills of preschool children showed that the creative activity set had the efficiency 93.13 / 92.59 which is higher than the standard 90/90 set and following the hypothesis set.
3. The score of basic math skills for preschool children by using creative activity set in Uttaradit province after receiving activities was higher than before receiving the activities with statistical significance at the level of 0.05.
