Garbage management by peple participatory method

Abstract

          This research aimed to 1) establish a collaboration network of people garbage management 2) Strengthen the community’s potential development of participational garbage management and 3) technologically promote the entire process of garbage management. This participatory action research used 191 key informants for qualitative approaches such as focus group discussion and pilot projection with purposive sampling technique, meanwhile, 400 samples were selected for quantitative approaches using a questionnaire. Qualitative analysis techniques used content analysis, on the other hand, quantitative applied descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage. The result found that Patunnakrua Municipality had 3 collaboration networks of people garbage management in Sob-tha (M.7), Dok Sabunnga (M.8), and Nakotpattana (M.9) with 3 participational garbage management innovations; 1) earth-worm feeding for organic garbage elimination 2) 200 Littre incinerator establishment and 3) garbage’s Charcoal stick. For the social innovation issue, there are 3 dimensions of participation; community, locality, and people with moving mechanisms such as garbage compositional analysis database, participatory experiment on garbage management elimination from 3 communities.
