Elderly School Elderly School: Form and Welfare of the Elderly of the Temple and Community of Lamphun Province

Abstract

This research paper has 3 objectives: 1. to study the process and management of schools for the elderly in Lamphun Province; 2. to study the welfare arrangements for the elderly in temples and communities in Lamphun Province; Elderly of the temple and community of the Elderly School, Lamphun Province this research study This is a qualitative research study. by using a combination of research methods The key informants were 15 pictures/person. The research found : 1) Process and management of elderly schools in Lamphun Province, there are various processes including policy formulation, planning for the elderly school operation, determining the structure and management of elderly schools, determination of teaching and learning structures, school development, elderly school management and monitoring, evaluating and analyzing results of operations. 2) Elderly welfare management of temples and communities in Lamphun Province, there are 4 welfare arrangements, namely welfare for the elderly school. Will be in the form of welfare for the whole school, the Elderly Club and various activities. Providing welfare for the elderly to the community, such as volunteer activities, Waste merit fund, funeral welfare club and the Center for Quality of Life and Elderly Occupation Promotion. Elderly welfare arrangement by temples and communities and managing the elderly network. 3) Form and Welfare of the Elderly of the Temple and Community of Lamphun Province, there are 2 forms of welfare arrangements is 1) Social work model Is a mutual integration in helping the elderly of the temple and the community by educating Through the process of the elderly school, career institute such as making a tie dye fabric, making a broom, and making a wreath and flowers, and creating a quality of life Through the volunteer activities And friends visiting activities. And 2) the form of elderly welfare development, found that there are 2 types is welfare development on health, including physical, mental, social and intellectual. And welfare development by propagating Dharma, such as entering the temple, making merit on important days, making merit to 9 temples, organizing Dharma roaming.
