Buddhist Management: Management Approaches in Organizations Institutions

Abstract

The most important thing in organizational management is human resources, which is the primary factor that will lead to the acquisition of other resources. The highest goal of the organization is the efficiency and effectiveness of the tasks according to the authority. Therefore, the organization must maintain human resources as a priority. The most important factor that influences the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations in the organization is the executives. This article presents the principles of Buddhism to be used in organizational management, namely the principles of the Four Divine Abodes. Executives who have the virtues of the Four Divine Abodes will have a desire for prosperity, be kind and generous to subordinates and colleagues, be compassionate and wish for everyone to be free from suffering, be happy and have a joyful mind in the happiness and prosperity of everyone, and have equanimity by being neutral and honest. The principles of the Four Sangha Vatthu, living together peacefully, and the principles of the Four Bases of Power are the principles of the Dhamma that are the path to the success of the business.
