A MODEL COLLABORATIVE OF BORDER TRADE COOPERATION AMONG AGRICULTURAL THE THAI-LAO BUENGKAN PROVINCE THAILAND AND BOLIKHAMXAY PROVINCE LAOS PDR

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the requirement of border trade cooperation between Thai-Lao’s agricultural product entrepreneurs 2) to specify the border trade cooperation model of Thai-Lao’s agricultural product entrepreneurs 3) to evaluate about border trade cooperation between Thai - Laos’s agricultural product entrepreneurs. All the above researching and developing by 3 steps such as 3.1) to study the content 3.2) to create the model 3.3) to test the model by integrated research methodology that include quantitative by using accidental sampling questionnaire. The representative sample included Thai-Lao agricultural product entrepreneurs for all 323 persons by using statistics, frequencies, percentages, averages, standard deviations, PNI modified and qualitative. The interview from using specific sampling of main informant such as 1) the government officers 2) the executives of sub-district administrative organization and 3) Thai entrepreneurs and Lao entrepreneurs for all 30 peoples. By using content analysis and overview to get the information, in order to present the obtained information to the relevant, to create relationships with entrepreneurs, resulting in economic cooperation leading to further national development.

The research found that: 1. The requirement of border trade cooperation that include with 1) Priority such as (1.1) tax (1.2) currency exchange rate determination and (1.3) transportation 2.) summary of confirmation of necessary information All 3sides by operators Most government, private, and business sectors agree on the priority. 2) The cooperation model consists of principles and rationale, objectives, activities, development of indicators and assessment methods which can be summarized into 3 forms which are 1) tax, 2) currency exchange rate determination, and 3) transportation of all 3 border goods. The model is an evaluation manual for agricultural products transporting across the Thai-Laos border. By distributing to Thai-Laos agricultural entrepreneurs and the satisfaction rating of the manual is higher than 3.51 which is considered passed the criteria
