STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR IMPROVING STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT OF BAN DON CHAI SCHOOL UNDER THE CHIANGRAI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 4

Abstract

          This research article aimed to create, to implement and to evaluate the strategic management model for improving students’ achievement of Ban Don Chai School under the Chiangrai Primary Education Service Area Office 4 by research and development methodology 3 steps; 1) to create the strategic management model by literature reviewing, the scholars interview, drafting the model and checking and the models’ suitability assessment by 82 stakeholders and 5 the academic experts, the data were collected by interviewing, focus group discussion and questionnaires and the statistics used for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. 2) To implement the strategic management model in 2/2561 semester by 71 teachers and students, the research tools were the model manual and meeting minutes template. And 3) to evaluate the satisfaction toward the strategic management model. The data was collected from 163 stakeholders by questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The finding showed as follow: 1) The strategic management model for improving students’ achievement of Ban Don Chai School under the Chiangrai Primary Education Service Area Office 4 consist of 4 elements; (1) Principle, (2) objective, (3) 5 Strategies that were Strategy 1: academic quality development; Strategy 2: student quality development; Strategy 3: teachers development; Strategy 4: media and learning resources development and Strategy 5: managing community participation in education, and (4) output: students’ achievement and outcome: strategic development results. 2) The results of implementation strategic management model showed the students had higher academic achievement than the set target in Thai, Mathematics, Science, and English. And 3) the stakeholders’ satisfaction toward the strategic management model for improving students’ achievement of Ban Don Chai School under the Chiangrai Primary Education Service Area Office 4 were the highest level           ( = 4.54, S.D.=0.14).
