ACHIEVEMENT OF NETWORK MODEL TO STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE OF PROCESSED PINEAPPLE AT RUAM THAI VILLAGE, KUI BURI DISTRICT, PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN PROVINCE

Abstract

           The objectives of this article were: 1) to study the potentials of the network, 2) to create a network model, and 3) to study the achievement of network model to strengthen the community enterprise. The mix method was used in this research consisting of a qualitative research with the 15 key informants, namely including, the Community Development Officer, the Chief of Kui Buri District Agricultural Extension Office, the Chairman of Community Enterprise of processed pineapple leaf and members of community enterprise. The samples were selected by using a purposive sampling method. And quantitative research with 400 samples by accidental sampling. The qualitative data was analyzed using a descriptive content analysis and the descriptive statistics used in this research were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the research revealed that; 1) In terms of the potentials of the network to strengthen the community enterprise of processed pineapple, it was found that for the knowledge aspect, the operating principles of the network relied on the sufficiency economy philosophy to create and develop concepts and community participation; for the skills aspect, there were learning process on production and processing various kinds of products. In the aspect of the opinions towards themselves, the guidelines for group working and planning for production and product development were set; for personal personality aspect, working was based on expertise and suitability, and for the motivation aspect, there was a standard quality control process for the products because quality was the important factor to help customers remember the products and to help SME entrepreneurs access to the funding source easily. 2) In terms of the network model to strengthen the community enterprise of processed pineapple was the “2L2CPM Model” consisting of L: leadership, L: Lending hand, C: Creative, C: Communication, P: Participation, and M: Marketing. 3) Achievement of network model to strengthen the community enterprise was at the highest level as a whole. When considering each aspect, it was found that the leadership aspect was at the highest level, followed by creativity in product development, and external communication, and helping each other aspects, respectively.
