DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL FOOD DATABASE FOR PHROM KHIRI DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article 1) were to collect local food of Phrom Khiri District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. For preserving food culture and adding value to food make the community more income, and 2) for to develop database system and online information system for dissemination of Local food of Phrom Khiri District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It also increases the marketing channels for the community. 3) To study the satisfaction of users of database systems and online information systems using web applications. This research is a mixed method research. This research is divided into 3 steps. The first step: the study of the relevant documents and research, and then the data will be designed for further development. The second step: Develop database systems and online information systems in the form of web applications. Using the SDLC development cycle and frameworks for system development. MVC is divided into three main areas: data model is the part that connects to the database; user interface is the part that display of information; and controller are a control and receives requests from users and retrieves data from the model for display. It is the system has function with the food data storage and food category. This is the system has, the user group is divided into two groups: administrators and users. The third step: evaluate satisfaction with the performance of the system by users. The results of the system performance evaluation were very satisfactory ( = 4.49). It can be concluded that database system and online information system in the form of web applications meet the needs of users.
