LEGAL POLICIES AND MEASURES HARM REDUCTION OF DRUG USE IN THAILAND

The objectives of this research article were to study the policy and legal measures to reduce drug use in Thailand. Comparison of policies and legal measures to reduce the harm from drug use in Thailand with foreign countries. To lead to the proposal of various policies and legal measures suitable for use in Thailand. The research team will conduct a comparative study of the policy and legal measures to reduce the harm from drug use in Thailand and that of foreign countries, including conducting study visits and interviews with experts who have drug treatment. Areas of predominance in drug treatment According to research studies that study drug problems in Thailand and compare them with foreign countries, drug-related offenses should only be applied to criminal persons. Preventive measures should be focused primarily on medical and public health work. Criminal offenses for drug users must be reduced, for example, by using legal, public health, and administrative measures to control instead. Certain types of drugs are permitted by volume control. A registered drug user drug addict who depends on drugs Drug addiction treatment is available from a doctor. Encourage the availability of drug rooms The state should produce its drugs for therapeutic use, which will be of better quality than illicit drugs. Integration of social order at the local level to prevent and treat both in the public health system and in the local social system together systematically, all of which must be adjusted in terms of policies and provisions of the law.
