THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODEL FOR ENHANCING THE ABILITY IN ACTIVITY LEARNING MANAGEMENT FOR TEACHERS USING LESSON STUDY THROUGH PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITY

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article were to develop a model for enhancing teachers’ active teaching ability by using classroom lesson study through a professional learning community. With research and development methodology There are 4 steps: 1) a study of conditions, problems, and guidelines for enhancing teachers' active teaching ability; 2) to create and check a model for enhancing teachers' active teaching ability using classroom lesson study through a professional learning community. 3) to try out a model for enhancing teachers' active teaching ability using classroom lesson study through a professional learning community and 4) to evaluate a model for enhancing teachers' active teaching ability using classroom lesson study through a professional learning community. The samples were consisted of 30 secondary school teachers from the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 9, Suphanburi Province. The research instruments included an active teaching ability assessment form and a learning record form. The research process was conducted for 30.5 hours. Data were analyzed using percentages, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The results were found that: 1) the condition of learning management was high level while problem situation was moderate level, the guidelines for enhancing the teacher’s ability in activity learning management by learning together through professional community learning. 2) the guidelines model for enhancing teacher’s ability in activity learning management by learning together through professional community learning consists of 5 components: background, objective, content, learning process, measurement and evaluation. The guidelines model was appropriate at the highest level ( = 4.54, S.D. = 0.43) and the pilot of the model found that the samples were ability in activity learning management appropriateness more than the required criteria with a statistically significant 0.50 3) the results of the model trial showed that the sample was more capable of proactively managing teachers' learning than the required criteria And 4) the result from the evaluation showed that the overall was in the highest level ( = 4.58, S.D. = 0.36).
