LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA UNDER PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE IN EASTERN REGION

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were to 1) explore the leadership components of school administrators, 2) verify the consistency of accuracy, propriety, feasibility and utility of the leadership components of school, and 3) confirm the consistency of the leadership components of school administrators in the new normal era under Primary Educational Service Area Office in Eastern Region with the empirical data. This study was a mixed methodology. Samples included administrators and teachers in schools under Primary Educational Service Area Office in Eastern Region totaling 450, were obtained by the table of Krejcie and Morgan, multi - stage sampling method, and cluster random sampling. The instruments used for data collection were 1) semi - structured interview form; 2) questionnaire; 3) verification of connoisseurship form. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, skewness, kurtosis, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis as well as the content analysis. The results showed that: 1) The leadership components of school administrators consisted of 5 components as follows,  1.1) Ability to apply knowledge and experience to develop work systems and having communication skills, 1.2) Patience, forbearance, prudence even under crisis and being a democrat leader, 1.3) Ability to control situations under crisis and actively solve immediate problems, 1.4) Having a good vision and ability to motivate people to work together, 1.5) Having a social background and being a good role model; 2) The verification of leadership components of school administrators by connoisseurship was in conformity with the standard of accuracy, propriety, feasibility, and utility; and 3) The confirmatory of leadership components of school administrators i was consistent with the empirical data statistically significant at 0.01 level.
