STRATEGIES TOURISM SUPPLY CHAIN COOPERATION IN SECONDARY CITIES ON THE EASTERN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Study components of factors affecting to tourism supply chain cooperation at secondary city in the Eastern Economic Corridor and 2) Create strategies of tourism supply chain cooperation at secondary city in the Eastern Economic Corridor by using qualitative research methods. By studying data from relevant documents before observation and unstructured In-depth interview methods with 19 experts or qualified persons. After that synthesize the obtained data and summarize the findings. Then focus group about all data that it has found with 7 professionals and entrepreneurs from tourism industry. The results showed that the tourism supply chain cooperation at secondary city in the Eastern Economic Corridor consist 6 factors such as 1) Joint operation 2) Collaborative communication 3) Sharing resources 4) Joint risk management 5) Joint decision-making and 6) Specialized investment. Meanwhile the strategies of tourism supply chain cooperation at secondary city in the Eastern Economic Corridor consists 3 strategies includes strategic 1 upgrading area potential, there are 4 golds such as 1) Infrastructure and logistics efficient standardized 2) Convenient and safety tourism 3) Integration in public system sector and 4) Tourist attraction potential. Strategic 2 supporting entrepreneurship potential, there are 4 golds such as 1) Support and develop the personnel skills who work for 2) Promote local tourism products and service 3) Increase marketing capabilities and 4) Develop entrepreneurial competency and Strategic 3 promoting cooperation, there are 3 golds such as 1) Develop between government cooperation 2) Promote network entrepreneurial cooperation and 3) Support new innovation of entrepreneurial network.
