THE EFFECT OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING ACTIVITIES USING GEOGEBRA PROGRAM IN PARABOLA FOR GRADE 9 STUDENTS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the effect of mathematics learning activities using GeoGebra program to improve learning achievement on Parabola of grade 9 students, 2) compare the achievements of the students before and after implementing the learning activities, and 3) study students’ satisfaction with learning activities using GeoGebra program. The twenty-eight participants, grade 9 students, which made up the research sample were chosen by cluster random sampling and studied in school during the first semester of the academic year 2022. The study's instruments were lesson plans, an achievement test, and a satisfaction form. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, percentage, and hypothesis testing using a t-test. The research results found that: 1) Results of learning activities using the GeoGebra program on academic achievement had an average of 23.21, which was higher than the 70 percent criterion at a statistically significant level of .05. 2) The students' learning achievement after learning was higher than before learning at the .05 level of statistical significance. 3) Students' satisfaction with learning activities was high, with an average of 4.16, higher than the satisfaction criterion of 3.50 set at a statistical significance of .05.
