The Group Against the Construction of a Pig Farm at Na Khom Subdistrict Phaisali District Nakhon Sawan Province.

Abstract

This article examines : to study the formation and strategies of The Group Against the Construction of a Pig Farm at Na Khom Subdistrict, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan Province. This research is a Qualitative Research which focuses on description and analysis information collected by using Interest Group concept and Conflict Management theory. The data were collected with 2 groups, who were leaders and members of the opposition groups.

 The research has found that; the group against the construction of a pig farm at Na Khom Subdistrict, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan Province is a small group. Which gathered only the people in the area of Village 9 only to oppose the pig farm. The gathering has 3 main points which are 1) the importance of the area in the construction of the pig farm 2) Environmental issues from sewage from pig farms, and 3) Impact on mango juice products, yawning, lime, booing. The group against the construction of a pig farm has therefore implemented 2 strategies, namely 1) Tactical strategy according to normal political system and 2) Tactical hindering the normal political system. The opposition group relied on personal relationships to meet political authorities. From the local, regional to national levels, including using social media and the media to object. Which 2 types of strategies are not effective enough Therefore the group against the construction of a pig farm at Na Khom Subdistrict, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan Province Face defeat every time.
