AN APPLICATION OF SANGKHAHAWATTHUDHAM IN WAY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE, WAT PRADU SUB-DISTRICT, MUANG DISTRICT, SURAT THANI PROVINCE

The purposes of this independent study were 1) To study An Application of Sangkhahawatthudham in Way of Life of People, Wat Pradu Sub-District, Muang District, Surat Thani Province. and 2) To study Suggestions on ways to promote the Sangkhahawatthudham in Way of Life of People, Wat Pradu Sub-District, Muang District, Surat Thani Province. It's mixed research. The population for the Quantitative Research is 400 people living in Wat Pradu Sub-District, Muang District, Surat Thani Province. A questionnaire was used to collect data. the statistics employed were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. As for the key contributors in the qualitative research, 5 people from the specific randomized method. The tools used for data collection were structured in-depth interview forms. Data were analyzed from interviews with key informants according to research objectives by using content analysis techniques in the context of the research framework. The data were collected between 15 November 2021 to 15 March 2022. The data were analyzed for content and an inductive conclusion was analyzed.
The findings were as follows: 1. An Application of Sangkhahawatthudham in Way of Life of People, Wat Pradu Sub-District, Muang District, Surat Thani Province. was overall and in each aspect at a high level; ranking in the order of mean from high to low as follows: Samanattata (even and equal treatment) and followed up the aspect of Piyavaja (kindly speech) and Atthajariya (useful conduct) and Dana (giving) was the lowest average respectively. 2. The Suggestions on ways to promote the Sangkhahawatthudham in Way of Life of People, Wat Pradu Sub-District, Muang District, Surat Thani Province. 1) Dana (giving) including promoting good relationships between villagers in the community Create a space for villagers to meet and talk, community leaders should take care of the villagers. and cause good relations among people in the community 2) Piyavaja (kindly speech) These include thinking before speaking, being mindful of speaking, meditating carefully about your words. and having good communication skills, being polite, and speaking with appropriate words. 3) Atthajariya (useful conduct) including make oneself useful for teaching children how to help others, self-sacrifice, take responsibility for duty, be considerate and take into account the interests of the public. and 4) Samanattata (even and equal treatment) including conducting oneself according to one's own status in society and their roles and duties with consistency.
