Improvement of Postmortem Facial Image for Announcement for Relatives on the website

Abstract

Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) is assigned to be the office of The Committee on Development of Search of Missing Persons and Identification of Unidentified Remains System (CIR). One of the importance mission is Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains picture dissemination on our website (www.thaimissing.go.th). The announcement on the website is the best method to help us to search missing persons and identify unknown remains. Before the facial postmortem image are publicized, they are improved by software to adjust into normal face image. (such as; erase the big wound, bloodstain or dirt on their face; adjust the deformed face to normal position etc.) This article is shown about the tools in Adobe Photoshop CC2018 which are improved the image before announcement and it is the guideline for the officer or Forensic scientist in field of Personal identification. And this article is shown the successful case from CIFS which was improved by tools of Adobe Photoshop CC2018.
