Abstract
Human trafficking is still an important problem in Thailand. Although, in 2016, Thailand has been upgraded to Tier 2 watch-list by Department of State of the United States of America, the Thai government has a strong determination to solve the problem, leading to the promulgation of the Human Trafficking Criminal Procedure Act. This would have positive effects on the economy and the image of the country. However, as the law is significantly different from other procedural laws in many aspects, therefore, it is important to understand the law.
