Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding in Laos : Perspective for today’s world

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study and analyze the Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding in Laos : Perspective for today’s world. This study is aimed to propose what to do to resolve the conflicts that are unique culture at the grassroots level that can be used to promote equality, justice and freedom in the current law. According to the problem findings, the author would like to propose three solutions as follows : (1) The mediation followed these steps : First;Finding solutions by calling the parties (Op-lom) to acknowledge the conflict and find a solution together. The Second and the last step, if problems and conflicts can not be resolved. Disputes will be forwarded to the court system at various levels, including 4 levels : Village Court, District Court, Provincial Court and Supreme Court. (2) The ritual troubleshooting and reconciliation is a Welcome Ceremony (Soukhouan Ritual) and the Ceremony (Soumma Ceremony) which are traditional rituals conflict resolution and reconciliation of their culture.
