Provincial Commission for Justice Administration Development (PCJAD) Justice administrative And cooperating mechanism at the provincial level

Abstract

The cabinet meeting on July 18, 2017 has approved, in principle, the appointment of the Provincial Commission for Justice Administration Development (PCJAD), proposed by Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Wisanu Kreungam), Chair of the National Commission for Justice Administration (NCJAD). Positioned as the justice administrative mechanism at the provincial level, the PCJAD is composed of provincial attorney as the advisor, the governor as the chairperson, 15 representatives from all sectors as members of the commission and the director of provincial justice office as a member of the commission and secretary.

The functions of the PCJAD are (1) to promote, support and monitor the implementation of the Ministry of Justice’s programmes and projects at the provincial levels, (2) to coordinate the functions of governmental units, private sector and people in the monitoring and support for various forms of community rehabilitation suitable for the provinces and (3) to be the central unit in mobilizing the area-based budget and (4) to propose the action plan that will lead to the development of the provincial strategic plan, development plan, provincial group development plan and the area-based budget integration.
