บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยเรื่อง ภาษากับมโนทัศน์ในเรื่องเล่าทางศาสนาและศีลธรรม (Language and Concepts in Religious Narratives and Morality) เป็นงานวิจัยสร้างสรรค์ (Creative Research) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ข้อ ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาเรื่องภาษากับมโนทัศน์ในเรื่องเล่าทางศาสนาและศีลธรรม 2) เพื่อศึกษาการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในรูปแบบภาพเคลื่อนไหวแบบดิจิทัล อาร์ต และศิลปะการจัดวางที่ปรับเปลี่ยนไปตามพื้นที่ และ 3) เพื่อนำเสนอมุมมองเรื่องภาษากับมโนทัศน์ในเรื่องเล่าทางศาสนาและศีลธรรม ผ่านผลงานในรูปแบบภาพเคลื่อนไหวแบบดิจิทัล อาร์ต และศิลปะการจัดวางที่ปรับเปลี่ยนไปตามพื้นที่
ผู้วิจัยใช้มุมมองทางปรัชญาแบบสัญวิทยา (Semiology) และปรัชญาในงานเขียนของปอล ริเกอร์ (Paul Ricoeur) ที่ผสมผสานมุมมองแบบปรากฏการณ์วิทยา (Phenomenology) กับการตีความแบบเฮอเมนูติกส์ (Hermeneutic) มาวิเคราะห์เรื่องการทำความเข้าใจมนุษย์และการสร้างอัตลักษณ์ผ่านเรื่องเล่า (narrative) เพื่อใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานภาพเคลื่อนไหวด้วยสื่อดิจิทัล อาร์ต โดยใช้ตัวอักษรภาษาไทยแบบบาลี และภาพงานจิตรกรรมไทยมาเป็นสื่อในการสร้างสรรค์ด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อสะท้อนเรื่องข้อจำกัดในการรับรู้ และการทำความเข้าใจในปรากฏการณ์ทางสังคมในยุคข้อมูลข่าวสาร รวมถึงการมีอิสระในการกำหนดความเป็นไปได้ และเสรีภาพในการเลือกของมนุษย์ยุคร่วมสมัยที่เต็มไปด้วยการเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่ตลอดเวลา
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภาษาเป็นสิ่งที่สะท้อนมโนทัศน์ของผู้คนในสังคมหนึ่ง ในความหมายที่ระบบภาษาหรือสัญญะที่อยู่ในโครงสร้างภาษานั้น ๆ ส่งผลต่อความคิดและพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ นอกจากภาษายังมีรูปภาพ วัตถุสิ่งของ และเสียง ซึ่งข้อจำกัดของระบบภาษาและมโนทัศน์ดังกล่าว ยังส่งผลต่อการทำความเข้าใจในการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคม วัฒนธรรม บรรทัดฐาน และเกณฑ์ตัดสินในด้านต่าง ๆ เรื่องเล่าทางศาสนาและศีลธรรมที่ถูกความเข้าใจก่อนการสำนึกรู้ได้ตีกรอบเอาไว้ ที่สะท้อนสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของไทยได้เป็นอย่างดีในการทำความเข้าใจขนบธรรมเนียมทางศีลธรรมแบบไทย ผ่านเรื่องเล่าทางศาสนาที่ผูกขาดกับนิยามเรื่องความดี และการอธิบายสังคมด้วยเรื่องบุญบารมีกับลำดับชั้นทางสังคม รวมถึงการตีความทางศีลธรรมให้เป็นแบบศาสนาเพียงแบบเดียว โดยปราศจากการตั้งคำถามต่อประเด็นเรื่องต่าง ๆ เช่น สิทธิเสรีภาพ ความยุติธรรม และความเท่าเทียมกันของผู้คนในสังคม ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้นำมาสังเคราะห์และนำเสนอผ่านผลงานสร้างสรรค์ในรูปแบบการติดตั้งภาพเคลื่อนไหว (video installation) อีกทั้งยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ชมได้เข้าถึงแนวคิดและมุมมองของผู้วิจัยผ่านประสบการณ์ทางศิลปะ
