Work Happiness Factors of Condominium Employees Phuket Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the influence of organizational climate, quality of working life, organizational engagement, and organizational citizenship behavior, on happiness at work of condominium employees in Phuket Province. This research employed quantitative research methods. Tthe sample consisted of 300 employees of condominiums located in Phuket Province, selected by proportional stratified sampling. Data were collected by the use of a questionnaire and analyzed with a structural equation model. The findings revealed that: organizational climate had the highest influence on happiness at work of condominium employees in Phuket Province, followed by quality of working life, organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational engagement, respectively. The findings of this research provide proper guidelines for executives of condominiums to create happiness at work for their employees by emphasizing factors influencing employees’ happiness at work in order of priority. Creating happiness at work appropriately helps retain high-performing and valuable personnel, who represent key factors contributing to the happiness of the condominium residents. Entrepreneurs of other service businesses can use these findings as guidelines to create employees’ happiness in their businesses as well.
