A Study of Factors Affecting Self-Development of Government Officer in Royal Thai Armed Force Headquarters Chaengwattana Area

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1. to compare the differences between personal factors and self-development 2. to study the influence of self-development satisfaction factors 3. to find out the influence of motivation factors on self-development in the working of civil servants in Royal Thai Armed Forced Headquarters, Chaengwattana area. The sample of the study was 354 civil servants in Royal Thai Armed Forced Headquarters, Chaengwattana area, and the instrument for data collection was questionnaire. The research results were as follow: The majority of civil servants in Royal Thai Armed Forced Headquarters, Chaengwattana area, are female, aged 25 - 35 with bachelor’s degree, rank level is second lieutenant to captain, income 15,001– 25,000 baht per month and having more than 12 years of working experiences. The opinion about self-development at work was very agreeable, the satisfaction in self-development at work was in high level, the opinion about motivation factors for self-development at work was very agreeable. The personal factors do not affect the self-development in working of civil servants in Royal Thai Armed Forced Headquarters, Chaengwattana area. However, the satisfaction factors and the motivation factors had an impact on self-development in the working of civil servants in Royal Thai Armed Forced Headquarters, Chaengwattana area with statistically significant at 0.05 level.
