Development of an On-Cloud Video-Based Instructional System in Pre-Medical Courses for Medical Student at Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1. to develop the on-cloud video-based instructional system in pre-medical courses for medical student at Srinakharinwirot University 2. to validate the efficiency of the instructional system 3. to compare scores for pre- and post- learning 4. to study students’ satisfaction toward the instructional system and 5. to assess and certify the instructional system from the educational experts. The samples were 1. 10 educational technology and mass communication specialists 2. 51 students of the first year undergraduate students in faculty of medical Srinakharinwirot University selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments included: 1. the system prototype 2. an pre- and post- test 3. an assessment form for evaluating the creation 4. students’ satisfaction questionnaire and 5. assessment and verification forms for the educational experts. The data was analyzed by the use of Means, Standard Deviation, Percentage, E1/E2 and t-test (Dependent samples.. Major Findings 1. The on-cloud video-based instructional system in pre-medical courses for medical student at Srinakharinwirot University comprises of 5 components: 1.1. Context 1.2. Teaching plan 1.3. Teaching process 1.4. Result and 1.5. Revise. 2. The efficiency of the instructional system E1/E2 in unit 1-4 was 80.51/82.31, 78.97/80.26, 80.93/81.79, 81.06/82.31 respectively which meets 80/80 or the criterion being set. 3. The post-test score was higher than the pre-test significant at .01 level 4. The students’ satisfaction toward the instructional system was highest level. 5. The assessment and verification of the instructional system were highly appropriate by the educational experts.
