Knowledge, Attitudes, and Adaptation to the ASEAN Economic Community among SMEs in Thailand and Vietnam

Abstract

This research are aimed at comparing the level of knowledge, attitude, and organizational adaptation in entering the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) of SMEs in Thailand (a founder member the quantitative method and used questionnaires to collect the data from 414 samples of SMEs, which were divided into 222 samples from Thailand and 192 samples from Vietnam from January to Septem 20 - 005 led to highly-positive attitudes of SME entrepreneurs while the attitude factor and the knowledge were χ2 2228 0 χ2 8 0 00 indicated that the level of knowledge of the AEC was still considerably low, especially for SMEs from 0 205 of ASEAN has been established for a long time and is soon to become the AEC, SMEs are still not - operations, as well as provide technological support and set up a network between SMEs and large enterprises to help learn about and develop their potentials and to achieve sustainable goals for the coming AEC.
