Factors Affecting to Intention to use Electric Vehicle in Bangkok

Abstract

The objectives of this independent study are: 1) to study factors according to theory of technology acceptance model that affecting to attitude toward using an electric vehicle of consumers in Bangkok, 2) to study factors according to theory of planned behavior and government policies about electric vehicles that affecting to intention to use an electric vehicle of consumers in Bangkok. A sample of this study is 400 samples of residents in Bangkok who interested or use an electric vehicle. This study is quantitative research using online questionnaires as data collection tool. The statistics used in the data analysis consists of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Hypotheses test is done by using multiple linear regression analysis at statistical significance level of 0.05. The results of this study discovered 1) factors according to theory of technology acceptance model, both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, have positive effect on attitude toward using an electric vehicle of consumers in Bangkok, 2) factors according to theory of planned behavior that only attitude toward using an electric vehicle and perceived behavioral control, and government policies about electric vehicles have positive effect on intention to use an electric vehicle of consumers in Bangkok.
