The Primary Cause and Prevention to the sexual harassment of flight attendants.

Abstract

        This study is The Primary Cause and Prevention of the sexual harassment of flight attendants. The purpose is to investigate the causes and conditions that affect the sexual harassment of flight attendants. and prevention of sexual abuse by flight attendants. This study is qualitative research with in-depth interviews by consisted of 10 female flight attendants and 2 men pilots. The study found that: The first cause of sexual harassment problems of flight attendants is 1) Process issue of work 2) Victims of sexual harassment 3) Airline passenger's problems 4) Cultural problems and 5) Legal issue and the condition of sexual harassment of flight attendants is 1) Flight attendants is beauty and attractive personal appearance, The uniform airlines have a uniform that fits with their cabin crew and the position of the flight attendants. 2) Airlines offer unlimited alcohols drinks on-board, Thailand's sexual harassment laws that are not serious including the flight distance and the corridor is limited cause sexual harassment. Prevention of sexual harassment is 1) flight attendants study and operate the airline's standard and policy strictly to prepare in an unexpected incident 2) the airline company is the service. Therefore, The airline company didn't take action with the passengers because of fear of deteriorating or destroying the good image of the airline company. In cases that the culprit is an airline employee, he or she will get appropriate penalties until the fire.
