Corporate Governance and Corporate Performance of the Company Listed in Thailand SET 50 INDEX

Abstract
The research article has the following objectives: 1. To examine the good corporate governance of the companies. 2. To examine the operating performance of the companies. 3. To examine the relationship between corporate governance and corporate performance of the company listed in Thailand SET 50 Index. This research is a quantitative. The population and sample included listed companies in the Thailand SET 50 Index group during years 2019 – 2021. The corporate governance variables studied included the shareholding proportion of the executive board, the proportion of independent directors, the consolidation of the position of chairman and CEO, the size of the executive board, and the number of board meetings, company operations included Return of Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Tobin’s Q Ratio. Analysis by using descriptive statistics and Predict influence of good corporate governance on performance of the company by using Multiple regression analysis at a statistic significant level of 0.05. Research found that the size of the executive board, and the number of board meetings affected the company operating performance in term of Return on Equity (ROE), which can be written as the following equation. Company operating performance in term of ROE = 16.143 – 1.275 (Board Size) + 0.525 (Number of Board Meeting)
