The Development of an Integrative Buddhist and Brain – Based Approach Learning Model for Enhancing Life Skills

Abstract

The main purposes of this research were to study life skills, to develop an Integrative Buddhist and Brain - Based Approach Learning Model for enhancing life skills, and to study the result of the Integrative Buddhist and Brain - Based Approach Learning Model for enhancing life skills of elementary school students in Bangkok Metropolis. The sample group consisted of 40 elementary students randomly assigned into 20 experimental and 20 control group samples. The results of this research were as follows: The Integrative Buddhist and Brain – Based Approach Learning Model for enhancing life skills was developed with the Item Objective Congruence (IOC) between 0.66 – 1.00. The life skills of the experimental group in the post experiment period as well as in the follow up period were significantly higher than the pre-experiment period at .01 level. Life skills of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group at .01 level.
