จากชนบทสู่เมือง : ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อและผลกระทบจากการย้ายถิ่น

Abstract

      Migration is an important process in demography in terms of economic, social and family institutions, particularly on family’s members both positively and negatively. According the theory proposed by Everette S. Lee, at the individual level study, there are cause – effect as well as intervening factors influencing migrant’s decision. In many countries, people migrate from rural to urban. Consequently, their economy and social conditions change dramatically. In addition, not only community’s health and life styles that change but changes also take place in all sectors of population nationwide, particularly during economic expansion.  

          This study focused on economic, social and health factors which were positive and negative factors effecting migration decision, as well as zero factors according to Lee’s theory of migration. It was based primarily on literature reviews to find out the causes and effects of migration with respect to the economic, social and health aspects in different regions worldwide including Thailand. This study predicts the trends and effects of the migration so that appropriate measures and public policies can be prepared to facilitate population migration in the future.

บทคัดย่อ

        ในทางประชากรศาสตร์ การย้ายถิ่นเป็นกระบวนการที่มีความสำคัญในด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม รวมไปถึงสถาบันครอบครัว ที่มีผลกระทบทั้งทางบวก และทางลบ จากการย้ายถิ่นของสมาชิกในครอบครัว ตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีของ Everett S. Lee ซึ่งศึกษาในระดับปัจเจกบุคคล ว่าด้วยปัจจัยต้นทาง-ปลายทาง-อุปสรรคแทรกกลางในการย้ายถิ่น เกี่ยวกับปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจในการย้ายถิ่นของผู้ย้ายถิ่น ซึ่งในหลาย ๆประเทศมีประชากรที่มีการย้ายถิ่นจากสังคมชนบทสู่สังคมเมืองเป็นจำนวนมาก ผลจากการย้ายถิ่นดังกล่าวส่งผลให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงในด้าน เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสุขภาพ รวมไปถึงวิถีชีวิตของชุมชนที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปโดยมี ประชากรทุกภาคส่วนของประเทศเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในช่วงเศรษฐกิจที่มีการขยายตัวมากขึ้น

          การศึกษาในครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาถึงปัจจัยทางด้าน เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสุขภาพ ที่เป็นปัจจัยในทางบวก และปัจจัยในทางลบ รวมไปถึงการค้นหาปัจจัยศูนย์ ตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีของ Everett  S. Lee ที่มีผลต่อการย้ายถิ่นนั้น ผู้ศึกษาทำการศึกษาโดยการทบทวนวรรณกรรมเพื่อค้นหาสาเหตุ ปัจจัย ผลกระทบ ของการย้ายถิ่น ต่อเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสุขภาพ ในภูมิภาคต่าง ๆ ของโลก รวมทั้งในประเทศไทย เพื่อคาดการณ์แนวโน้ม ผลกระทบจากการย้ายถิ่นดังกล่าว เพื่อหามาตรการรองรับและนโยบายสาธารณะ ที่เหมาะสมต่อการย้ายถิ่นของแรงงานต่อไป
