Abstract

             The pedagogy for present-day students is to employ active learning through a student-centered that provides  opportunities  for students to think, to present, and to practice in various activities or work pieces. Moreover, the students then summarize the knowledge which can be integrated into their practice. The teachers are their mentors who give them appropriate suggestions. This kind of pedagogy is different from descriptive teaching in the typical classroom of the past.

          Communication arts or mass communication aims at producing graduate students to be professionals, and to work both on the stage and behind the scenes. Active learning through a student-centered approach is the most suitable method to teach students, especially in work-based learning. The students in the field of communication arts—public relations, advertising, radio and television, etc.—should obtain the opportunity from teachers, workplaces, and relating organizations to work with them. The students will apply their knowledge with suggestions from the teachers and the workplaces. Furthermore, their work pieces should be published or broadcasted, admired, and applied. This kind of pedagogy will support students to be confident in their skill and ability, so that they can apply their skills and knowledge this in their workplace

บทคัดย่อ

          การจัดการเรียนการสอนแก่นักเรียน นักศึกษาในปัจจุบัน ควรเน้นการเรียนการสอนเชิงรุกแบบเน้นผู้เรียนเป็นศูนย์กลาง ซึ่งมีลักษณะการให้นักเรียน นักศึกษาได้มีโอกาสคิด ได้แสดงออก และได้ฝึกปฏิบัติให้เกิดกิจกรรมหรือชิ้นงานจริง ตลอดจนสามารถสรุปองค์ความรู้เชื่อมโยงกับสิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้จากการลงมือปฏิบัติได้ โดยมีครู อาจารย์ทำหน้าที่เป็นพี่เลี้ยง คอยให้คำชี้แนะที่เหมาะสม ต่างจากการเรียนการสอนสมัยเก่าที่เน้นการบรรยายให้ความรู้แก่นักเรียน นักศึกษาภายในห้องเรียนเท่านั้น

          สาขาวิชานิเทศศาสตร์และการสื่อสารมวลชน เป็นสาขาวิชาที่เน้นการผลิตบัณฑิตที่เป็นนักวิชาชีพด้านการสื่อสารมวลชนให้พร้อมออกไปปฏิบัติงานทั้งงานเบื้องหน้าและเบื้องหลัง ฉะนั้นการเรียนการสอนเชิงรุกโดยเน้นผู้เรียนเป็นศูนย์กลางนั้น เป็นแนววิธีการสอนที่เหมาะสมที่สุด โดยเฉพาะวิธีการเรียนการสอนแบบเน้นให้ทำงานจริง นักศึกษานิเทศศาสตร์ทุกสาขาวิชาย่อย อาทิ ด้านประชาสัมพันธ์ โฆษณา วิทยุกระจายเสียงและวิทยุโทรทัศน์ ฯลฯ ควรได้รับโอกาสจากอาจารย์ สถานประกอบการ และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เข้าฝึกงานหรือทำงาน เพื่อจะได้ใช้องค์ความรู้ปฏิบัติงานจริงภายใต้การชี้แนะจากอาจารย์ และสถานประกอบการ โดยชิ้นงานของพวกเขาควรที่จะได้รับการเผยแพร่ ชื่นชม และใช้ประโยชน์ เพื่อให้นักศึกษาเกิดความมั่นใจในทักษะ ความสามารถ นำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการทำงานของพวกเขาต่อไป
