บทคัดย่อ

PURPOSES: To study knowledge management and strategic human resource management and their impact on core competency of operational-level workers in the electrical and electronics industries at Ban-wa (Hi-Tech) Industrial Estate, as well as to propose a model for developing core competencies of operational-level workers in the electrical and electronics industry. METHODS: A survey research of a sample group of 154 workers, along with in-depth interviews with  of 12 key informants, and additional 6 key informants for the purpose of model validation. RESULTS: The core competencies for Thai operational-level workers consisted of continuous learning, communication and management, achievement oriented, and operational skills. Knowledge management affected the core operational skill of worker significantly at p < 0.001 whereas strategic human resource management effected core operational skills or workers significantly at

 p <0.01. THEORETICAL/POLICY IMPLICATION: Good knowledge management and strategic human resource management within an organization can effectively enhance the core competencies of Thai operational-level workers.
