Abstract

This research aims to study awareness and accessibility of the Universal Health Care System and analyzes the components of awareness and accessibility in the system. Data were collected
by 6 areas quota in Bangkok metropolitan area, each comprising 67cases, totaling 402 cases. The chi-square test was used at the significance level of .05 and EFA was used to extract
the data through PAF and Promax methods.

The results showed that self-rated occupants rate the utilization of the system on average
as 7.71 out of 10, followed by awareness of 7.66 and accessibility to 7.40. The scores
from the chi-square test showed that there were 7 factors related to personal factors. Personal factors in education are related to both awareness and use in the system. The results
of the EFA analysis revealed that eight components were extracted, all of which were consistent
with theoretical components. The first three components are: Utilization Time and appointment and medical ethics.

Average score of accessibility of the Universal Health Care System can be recommended
that the National Health Security Office (NHSO) should focus on controlling the cost of additional costs incurred in accessing the services and the preparation of personnel, tools and medicines. At the same time, awareness raising should focus on graduates who have completed lower secondary education. The development on utilization of Universal Health Care System should focus on lower secondary education. The results of the EFA should be publicized in the following areas: 1) Utilization of critical or urgent emergencies (call 1669); and 2) the use of critical or emergency medical services wherever without reservation.
