The Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure on Financial Performance among The Food and Beverage Companies Listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand

The purpose of this research were to examine 1) the effects of corporate social responsibility disclosure and financial performance in the aspects of return on asset of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand 2) the effects of corporate social responsibility disclosure and financial performance in the aspects of return on equity of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand and 3) the effects of corporate social responsibility disclosure and financial performance in the aspects of net profit margin of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand by collecting data from the annual reports (Form 56-1 and Form 56-2) of 46 the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand from 2017 to 2020 was used to collect data from 170 datasets. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were multiple regression analysis.
Results revealed that: 1) Corporate social responsibility disclosure in the aspects of environmental responsibility had negative effects on financial performance in the aspects of return on asset and net profit margin of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (p < 0.05) 2) Corporate social responsibility disclosure in the aspects of community and society responsibility and product and services responsibility had positive effects on financial performance in the aspects of return on asset and net profit margin of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (p < 0.05) 3) Corporate social responsibility disclosure in the aspects of employee responsibility no effects on financial performance of the food and beverage companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
