Community Participative Waste Management of Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province

Abstract

The objective of the research were 1) to study waste management of community in Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province and 2) to study community participative waste management level of Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province.  The quantitative research method was being used.  The sample was 370 people living in Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, RoiEt Province.  The instrument was questionnaire. The statistics used in the research were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research found that 1) the overall of waste management of Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, RoiEt Province was at high level.  There were 3 aspects at high level, the highest was waste delivering then the waste gathering and waste separating aspects respectively.  The waste eliminating aspect was at moderate level. 2) the overall community participative waste management level of Thamuang Sub-district, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province was at high level.  All 4 aspects were at high level, participation in receiving benefit, participation in evaluating, participation in planning and participation in operating aspects respectively.
