Historical Research Methodology in Digital and Modern Era: The Lost History of King Chulalongkorn the Great at Wat Nong Khaem

Abstract

This research article was written with the following objectives: 1) To provide recommendations for the usage of digital history as a research methodology, i.e., a sociometry tool, genealogy tool, digital database, and an archival tool, to the new generation of researchers, so not to violate Act 112 and to create unity of the people in the nation 2) To synthesize the new knowledge regarding King Rama V the Great’s Dhammaraja in Siam civilization for national unity. It was found that applying this new Digital and Modern Historical Research Methodology with digital tools did not to violate Act 112 and create unity of the people and recover lost history of King Rama V the Great’s Dhammaraja.  2) With preliminary evidence suggesting that King Rama V the Great’s Dhammaraja in Siam civilization was embedded in the royalist community leaders’ and their descendants’ pride through constructive human rights and liberty movement until World War II with collaborative action with “People's Party” to overcome crisis.
