Abstract

At present, media literacy is vital and essential for human’s daily life in the unpredictable situation which news and information change quickly all the time. Information can be modified easily through technologies which make it distorted from the truth. Pre-service teachers have a statistics on social media use at a high level continually. Nowadays, media and technology have developed by leaps and bounds. Media users can produce and present information by themselves, thus they can be both a receiver and a deliver. For these reasons, if you are illiterate person in social media use. It can have a negative effect on yourself and society as a whole.  Improvement of pre-service teachers is one of the urgent needs of the faculty of education to strengthen the immunity for them in order to keep them safe from using media  and to literate them on media both in their learning and using in daily life. So this article will explain the media literacy include; the meaning, concepts and elements of media literacy which are important to pre-service teachers for instructional management and 21st century skills
