Political Participation of People in Ban Lao Sub-district Administrative Organization, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) examine the level of political participation 2) to compare the political participation of people classified by personal factors, and 3) to recommend the guidelines for encouraging political participation of people in Ban Lao Sub-district Administrative Organization, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province.        The research was conducted for collection of data by using questionnaire and quantitative method was applied for data analysis. The group sample of 385 cases were drawn from 14 villages in Ban Lao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province, using stratified random sampling method. Data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics included percentage, mean and standard deviation. Hypothesis Testing divided by the difference of personal factors using T-test, F-test with One Way Anova. and Least Significant Difference : L.S.D.The results of this research revealed that: 1) political participation of people in Ban Lao Sub-district Administrative Organization, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province was at a low level, and 2) the difference of personal factors affected political participation. The organizations should provide them the idea, training, and building an understanding regarding to the importance of political participation and establish a network for people participation in checking and receiving accurate information.
