Results of Teaching and Learning Criminal Law by Using a Case Study on Knowledge and Analytical Thinking Competence with Nursing Students. of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Sanpasithiprasong

The objectives of this research were: 1.To assess the competence in criminal law knowledge related to the profession by using a case study before and after the teaching and learning. 2. To compare the competence in criminal law knowledge related to the profession by using a case study before and after the teaching and learning. 3. To assess the competency in analytical thinking of criminal law related to the profession after using the model of teaching and learning, a case study. The research method was based on teaching and learning criminal law using case studies with assessment the competence before and after the teaching and learning management and compare the competence of the students. The research tools were case study lesson plan, knowledge competency assessment form. The research data were analyzed by using statistics, mean, percentage, standard deviation, and t-test. The research findings, most of the students had an average score of competency in criminal law knowledge before teaching at the level of not passing the pass, with a passing threshold of 60 percentage, with an average score of 20.43 out of 40 score point. After the teaching and learning management, it was found that most of the students had an average score of competency at the pass level with an average score of 25.07. A comparative study of knowledge competency before and after teaching and learning management revealed that after teaching and learning, the students had a statistically significant increase in knowledge competency scores (t=-15.02,p-value=.000). The competence in analyzing after teaching and learning by using case studies showed that the students were able to analyze the criminal liability for documents the most at 100 percent, followed by the criminal liability for negligence at 93.75 percentage and criminal liability for abortion was 87.5 percentage, respectively.
