Abstract

The objectives of this journal were to study the problems of the health promotion in the schools and to promote the holistic health promotion. The health condition of the school-age children was the base of the health condition in their lives. The school-age children had the physical, mental, emotional, cognitive and spiritual changes, and were able to develop themselves with the potential. Now, the society changes the style of the children’s way of life, and the environmental change causes the damage in their health. Therefore, the children were developed in the behavior for the health promotion in the schools sustainably. Promoting the health condition of the school-age children covered 5 strategies: 1) setting the policy to be the health promotion school, 2) creating the environment suitable to the health promotion and the disease prevention, 3) promoting the community activities for the health promotion and the disease prevention strongly, 4) developing the necessary personal skill for the health promotion and the disease prevention of the children, the teachers, the staffs, the parents and the people in the society around the schools, and 5) changing the health service system that focused on the health promotion and the disease prevention.
