The Network Building Process on Buddhist way for Strengthening Community in Bangplama Sub-district Bangplama district Suphanburi Province

Abstract

 The research objectives were to 1) study the coexistence according to the Buddhist way of the community Bang Pla Ma subdistrict, Bang Pla Ma district Suphanburi province 2)  develop the process of strong community network, Buddhist way of Bang Pla Ma subdistrict, Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province and 3) enhance the strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma sub-district,  Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province. This research was a mixed-methods research technique, which included documentary research, quantitative research, qualitative research, and action research. The study focused on the development of a process for enhancing a strong Buddhist community network. A total of 372 people were recruited as part of a sample group and key informants, including representatives of monk, community leaders and the public. From the study, the following results have been found: 1) The studying the Buddhist coexistence of Bang Pla Ma sub-district community of Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province, it has been revealed to be a folkway with people mostly working in agriculture. At the end of the harvesting season, the community will get together to take out various collaborative activities in order to retain physical solidarity. In terms of the mental aspect, there is a temple that serves as a center for activities that promote solidarity. The community's collaboration in developing the habitat into a local tourism attraction, as well as combining it with long-standing local wisdom goods that will promote people's well-being, generate income, and sustainably increase the strength of people in the community. Within the community, a savings cooperative system has been established, which is in line with the concept of sufficiency economy and the Majjhimā paṭipadā (The Middle Way) according to Buddhist good governance. 2) The development  process for enhancing a strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province, the opinions of monks, community leaders, and the public in a total of 100 people were involved, and the results are as follows: the overall opinions for a process of enhancing a strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma district is found to be at a high level (x̄ = 4.30 S.D=0.196). When each aspect is considered, it has been discovered that on monitoring and assessing is at the highest level (x̄ = 4.34 S.D.= 0.274). Following that is implementation at a high level (x̄ = 4.32 S.D.=0.352), and then identifying problems and causes at a high level (x̄ = 4.32 S.D= 0.319). While the activity planning has the least level of opinion and is at a high level (x̄ = 4.21 S.D= 0.326). The process of enhancing a strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province consists of 4 aspects: 1) Volunteer Mindset; 2) Cooperative Culture; 3) Resources and Economy; and 4) Information Technology. 3) The enhancing a strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma district, Suphanburi province, the building of a strong Buddhist community network of Bang Pla Ma district has been discovered to be a gradual process under government policy, with an emphasis on tangible and equal community engagement as follows: 1) collaborative learning; 2) cooperation/ coordination; 3) management; and 4) interdependence/ volunteer mindset.
