A Comparative Study of the Cost-Effectiveness of Changing Rice Production Technology in the Time Zone of Farmers in Sisaket Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to According to the rice production using quality technology in the flood plain areas of farmers in Sisaket Province. There is a variable which is the change in rice production technology. The dependent variable is the cost-effectiveness of production. It is a mixed method research.The information was collected from both formal and informal leaders consisted of village philosophers, chiefs of agricultural district, chiefs of agricultural sub-district, key informants from the head of farmer groups, village headmen, group members, and household members. The research instruments consisted of 1) structured interview form and 2) focus group discussion form. The findings revealed as follows: According to the rice production using quality technology in the  flood plain areas of the flood plain, they spent lower cost and earned from the quality and more amount of rice. Therefore, the rice production using quality technology was worthier than rice production using traditional technology (regular).
