The Creation of Representation Conceptual Art of Cultural Capital with Thai People of Chinese Origin in Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

 This research aims to creating and present photography through cultural capitals by using aesthetic arrangement techniques according to cultural beliefs of Phitsanulok Chinese in order to make people become more aware and help conserve Thai Chinese’s art and culture. The creative research method uses the concept of artistic inspiration and photographic arrangement techniques by setting up situations. This results in creative art pieces cultural capitals’ representation through photographs which are exhibited online for surveying awareness, appreciation, and impression. There were 126 who answered the survey as follows: set 1, The Deity of Bravery and the Holy Guardian, averaged 4.65; set 2, Sigou: Thai People of Chinese Origin in Phitsanulok’s Baskets Throwing Festival, averaged 4.64; set 3, The Deity of Honesty and the Hakka Lion, averaged 4.64; set 4, Bodhisattva the Goddess of Mercy, averaged 4.60; and set 5, The Deity of Fertility, averaged 4.60. In addition, the art works are exhibited both online and offline at Art and Culture Center of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University to continue to conserve cultural capitals and aesthetics of Thai people of Chinese origin in Phitsanulok Province.
