Guidelines for the Development of Competency in Information Technology of School Administrators Under the Nakhon Nayok Primary Educational Service Area

Abstract

this research have a purpose 1) to study the need for information technology competency development of school administrators 2) to propose guidelines for developing information technology competency of school administrators The research was divided into 2 steps: Step 1: a study of the need for competency development in information technology competency of educational institute administrators. The sample group was school administrators. The subjects were 98 schools under Nakhon Nayok Primary Educational Service Area Office by stratified random sampling. The tool used was a questionnaire with a confidence value of 0.98. The statistics used were percentages and standard deviations. The five key informants were selected by purposive sampling. The tool used is semi-building interview form It is a content analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) to study the need for information technology competency development of educational institute administrators in three aspects: 1. Knowledge, in general, was at a high level. The item with the highest average was that you wanted to develop knowledge in selecting information technology for management. Overall, it was at a high level. The item with the highest mean was that you wanted to develop the ability to choose information technology in management. 3. The overall attitude aspect was at the highest level. The item with the highest average is the awareness of the importance of information technology in the process. 2) There are 3 approaches to the development of information technology competency of school administrators, 10 approaches as follows: 1. Knowledge, there are 3 approaches such as knowledge in choosing technology attend training Supporting the use of technology 2. Skills: There are 5 approaches such as promoting the use of technology in daily life. Motivate the use of technology. see the benefits importance of information technology
