Abstract

This research aims to study professional accounting skills that affect the performance of accountants. under the district office in Thailand. The sample group consisted of accountants under the district offices in Thailand. The respondents were 334 accountants under the district office in Thailand. The instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics for data analysis were descriptive statistics i.e. percentage, mean and standard deviation while multiple correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to test the hypothesis.The results revealed that professional accounting skills affected the performance of accountants. under the district office in Thailand at the significance level of 0.01. The professional accounting skills that affected the performance of accountants under the district office in Thailand at the significance level of .01 were intellectual skills, practical academic skills’s job duties and personal Characteristic skills. organizational and business management skills. and information technology skills. while interpersonal and communication skills. showed an effect at the significance level of 0.05.
