The Product and Activity Development to Promote the Cultural Tourism of Khek Noy Village, Phetchabun Province

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the local area and identity of Khek Noi village, Phetchabun Province 2) to analyze the local identity of Khek Noi village into the product and activity development to promote the cultural tourism of Khek Noy Village, Phetchabun Province 3) to experiment the development of products and activities that reflect the local identity of Khek Noi village, Phetchabun Province and 4) to assess the development of products and activities reflect the local identity of Khek Noi village, Phetchabun Province. This research is Mixed Methods Research using Focus Group, Participatory Action Research (PAR), Questionnaire and Lessons learned. Key informants and participants in the research were community leaders, village philosophers, Hmong Khek Noi Cultural Tourism Enterprise Group and a group of volunteer tourists The results showed that Khek Noi village has a distinctive community identity and can be further developed into products and activities to promote cultural tourism. Hmong Khek Noi Cultural Tourism Enterprise play a major role in the development of Hmong lamp and Hmong Batik mask products and 7 activities. The result of questionnaires of volunteer tourists found that volunteer tourists were satisfied with Hmong lamp product and Hmong Batik mask at the highest level (ðĨĖ = 4.52, S.D. = 0.332), (ðĨĖ = 4.33, S.D. = 0.654) and satisfaction of activities to Promote the Cultural Tourism of Khek Noy Village, Phetchabun Province. It was found that volunteer tourists were the most satisfied at the highest level (ðĨĖ = 4.33, S.D. = 0.654).
