Abstract

This research was a survey research that aimed to study and compare the roles of school administrators in school-community relationships at schools operating under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample used in this research comprised teachers at schools under the responsibility of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 and were classified by educational background, position and size of educational institution. The results showed that teachers had high opinions, overall and for each aspect, towards the roles of school administrators in terms of their relationships between schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 and communities. A comparison of teachers' opinions on the roles of educational institution administrators in terms of school-community relationships for schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 found that teachers with different educational backgrounds had similar opinions, overall and for each aspect, concerning the roles of school administrators in the relationship between schools and communities of schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2. Teachers with positions at educational institutions of different sizes likewise showed no difference, overall and for each aspect, in their opinions concerning the roles of school administrators in the school-community relationships for schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2.
